“Friend, hope for the truth while you are alive.

Jump into experience while you are alive!

… If you don’t break your ropes while you are alive,

Do you think ghosts will do it after?"

-Kabir

Therapy

I offer somatic psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Somatic psychotherapy is an approach to therapy that incorporates talking as well as paying attention to our moving and feeling selves. Every thought has a co-occurring physical sensation and feeling. Every movement we make is made in relation to ourselves, to another and to the world around us. By learning to attend to our movements, gestures, and postures as they arise in the present moment, we can access previously unaware sources of support, relating and insight that enable novel pathways for change and growth.

I believe as Martin Heidegger said, that we are all “thrown into this world.” We are born in a particular moment in history, into a particular family, body and place. These circumstances profoundly influence our experience in the world. I maintain an active focus on how our unique identities, abilities and ancestries are supported, or not, by our shared cultural field, and how dynamics of power and privilege play out inside, and outside, of our sessions. I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, ages, abilities and orientations into my practice and into this conversation.

Starting therapy is an important decision. I offer a complimentary discovery call to help us get to know each other and to decide if we will be the right fit.

I do not accept insurance, however if you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide monthly bills to submit to your insurer. To find out if you can use your insurance for psychotherapy, please read this list of questions to ask your insurer.

I maintain a certain number of sliding scale spots. Feel free to inquire.

Please note, I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I kindly ask that you pay the full fee for any session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Thank-you for your understanding.

Teaching

I am available to teach workshops on DSP and Gestalt both online and in-person.

From March 2027 to March 2028 I will be leading a year-long training in Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy in Philadelphia. For more information on the training, or to apply, click here.

Supervision

I offer individual and group supervision to mental health practitioners looking to enhance their ability to work from a somatic and relational perspective, as well as to individuals trained in Gestalt therapy who want to deepen their understanding of theory and practice. I also provide supervision to people working in affiliated fields, such as bodywork and yoga, who want to better understand the boundaries and complexities of their relationships with their clients and students.
